Hail to the Chief

Colonels Don and Ann Copple (Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Women's Ministry, respectively) meet with Corps Officers, Lieutenants Rob and Hannah Jeffery
On December 14, Colonels Don and Ann Copple, the Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministry (respectively), toured Spryfield Community Church and Family Resource Centre.
After the tour, the Colonels met with Rob and Hannah and wanted to know all about the mission here in Spryfield. The Chief Secretary is the second in command of The Salvation Army in Canada and Bermuda. His ministerial office in other denominations would be equivalent to a bishop or archbishop.
The Chief took particular interest in the missional activities of the corps and challenged us as leaders to carry on in our quest to win souls for the kingdom. (And it’s not only our quest, by the way – it’s everyone’s!)
The Colonels concluded their visit with a heartfelt prayer of blessing for the good work being carried out in Spryfield. Let us remember the Copples and all our leaders in prayer, recognizing the hand of God working in and through their lives. “Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.” (Hebrews 13:7)
